Divinity Supports Hernando County!
We recently attended Hernando County’s Habitat for Humanity Men Bake, where the “celebrity” men of our county walk the runway, strutting their finest baked goods while attendees bid on them. It was so much fun watching our community come together to raise money for such an important cause – building houses for the homeless!
The event was held at Silverthorn Country Club where a sold out crowd of business owners, doctors, politicians, community activists, county workers and homeowners, gathered to eat great food, socialize and taste lots of cake!
There were some awesome cakes made – the highest bid went to Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis’s Police Memorial Wall cake, which drew in $1,000! Hernando County’s State Representative, Blaise Ingoglia’s Star Wars themed cake brought in a nice $600 donation, followed by School Board Member, Attorney Matt Foreman’s Batman cake that got a high bid of $550 which he then matched for a whopping $1100 donation! And that was just the beginning…
We bid on and WON the Chick-fil-A cake that came with $200 in food gift cards, which we gave away all week to our patients! For us, it was a WIN/WIN! It was an awesome night – keep an eye out for tickets to next year’s event!
