Reveal smoother, brighter, more radiant skin with customized chemical peel treatments
Transform dull, uneven skin with medical-grade chemical peels that remove damaged outer layers and reveal fresh, radiant skin beneath. From light peels with zero downtime to deeper peels for dramatic resurfacing, we customize treatment to your skin type and goals for optimal results.
What Are Chemical Peels?
Chemical peels use medical-grade acids to exfoliate skin's outer layers, removing dead cells, sun damage, and surface imperfections. This controlled exfoliation stimulates cell turnover and collagen production, revealing smoother, brighter, more youthful skin. Peels treat acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, rough texture, large pores, and overall dullness with progressive improvement over a series of treatments.
We offer multiple peel depths and formulations to match your skin concerns and tolerance for downtime. Light peels like the ZO Stimulator Peel provide subtle brightening with zero downtime - perfect for maintenance and gradual improvement. Medium peels including VI Peel, ZO 3 Step Peel, TCA, Jessner, and Vitamin A deliver more dramatic results with 3-7 days of visible peeling. During consultation, we'll recommend the ideal peel strength and type for your unique skin.

Types of Chemical Peels
Peel away years of damage, reveal brighter tone, and achieve the smooth, glowing complexion you've always wanted.
Light peels remove only the outermost layer of skin (epidermis). They're perfect for brightening dull skin, smoothing mild texture issues, and maintaining healthy skin. Popular options include glycolic acid, lactic acid, and salicylic acid peels. Minimal to no downtime - often called "lunchtime peels." Can be done every 2-4 weeks.
Medium peels target the epidermis to mid-dermis, removing damaged skin cells more aggressively. They treat age spots, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven skin tone more dramatically than light peels. TCA (trichloroacetic acid) is the most common medium-depth peel. Expect 5-7 days of visible peeling. Results are more dramatic and longer-lasting.
Specialty peels are formulated for specific concerns like acne, melasma, or sensitive skin. Examples include salicylic acid peels for acne, Jessner's peels for deeper exfoliation, and mandelic acid for sensitive or darker skin types. Your aesthetician will recommend the best specialty peel for your unique needs.
While a single peel provides visible improvement, a series of peels delivers the most dramatic and long-lasting transformation. Most concerns require 3-6 peels spaced 2-4 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. We'll create a customized series plan during your consultation.
Chemical peels aren't just corrective - they're excellent for maintaining healthy, glowing skin. Many patients schedule light peels monthly or quarterly as part of their regular skincare routine to keep skin looking its best year-round.
How Chemical Peels Work
The Science: Chemical peels use acids to break bonds between dead skin cells, causing controlled exfoliation of outer skin layers. Different acids penetrate to different depths. Superficial peels affect stratum corneum (outermost layer). Medium peels reach the epidermis to mid-dermis. Deeper penetration = more dramatic results but more downtime.
The Peeling Process: After cleansing skin, peel solution applied and left on for specific time based on peel strength and your skin's response. May feel tingling, warmth, or stinging (temporary). Peel is neutralized or self-neutralizes. Over following days, treated skin dries and peels off naturally revealing fresh skin beneath.
What Chemical Peels treat: Chemical peels treat fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and age spots, acne and acne scars, uneven skin tone and texture, dull skin, and enlarged pores.
What is a Toxbooster? A toxbooster is a medium depth peel that is done on the same day as your tox treatment. Start with service with a VIPeel done with one of our aestheticians, then you’ll have your tox treatment followed by another pass of the VIPeel.

ALL THE ANSWERS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do chemical peels hurt?
Light peels: mild tingling only. Medium peels: warm, stinging sensation during application (5-10 minutes), then subsides.
Tolerable for most. Cooling fan helps. Discomfort is temporary during application only.
What's the peeling like?
- Light peels: Minimal to no visible peeling, slight flaking.
- Medium peels: Day 3-7 skin peels in sheets (like sunburn). Avoid picking! Let peel naturally. Can be dramatic but reveals beautiful skin beneath.
Can I wear makeup during peeling?
Light peels: Yes, immediately. Medium peels: Wait 24-48 hours. Mineral makeup best during peeling phase (doesn't emphasize flaking as much).
Some peels like VI allow makeup during peeling.
How much downtime is there?
- Light peels: Zero to minimal. Possible light flaking 2-3 days.
- Medium peels: 3-7 days visible peeling (skin flakes off in sheets).
Plan accordingly for work/events.
Are chemical peels safe for dark skin?
Depends on peel depth and skin type. Light peels generally safe for all skin types.
Medium peels carry higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin (Fitzpatrick IV-VI).
Careful assessment and test spots recommended. We customize based on your skin.
How many peels do I need?
- Light peels: Series of 4-6 treatments monthly for optimal results.
- Medium peels: 1-3 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
Maintenance: Quarterly peels preserve results. Severe concerns may require more treatments.
What can't I do after a peel?
Avoid sun exposure (SPF 50+ mandatory), hot tubs/saunas, excessive sweating/exercise (48-72 hours), picking/pulling peeling skin, harsh products (retinol, acids), waxing.
Follow post-care instructions carefully to avoid complications.
When will I see results?
- Light peels: Immediate glow, cumulative improvement over series.
- Medium peels: Fresh skin revealed after peeling complete (7-10 days), continued improvement over weeks.
Maximum results 2-4 weeks post-peel.
Can I do a peel in summer?
Best done fall/winter when sun exposure minimal. However, if you can avoid sun completely and use SPF 50+ religiously, summer peels possible.
Risk of hyperpigmentation higher with sun exposure post-peel.
Will my skin be red?
- Light peels: Minimal redness (hours).
- Medium peels: Moderate redness 3-7 days, fades as peeling completes.
All temporary.
Can I combine peels with other treatments?
Yes, strategically! Peels combine well with microneedling, BBL/IPL, Morpheus8, and facials for comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
Timing is critical - typically space 2-4 weeks between aggressive treatments. Some treatments done same session (like peels after microneedling).
What if I don't peel visibly?
Not everyone peels dramatically, especially with light peels. Peeling occurs at cellular level even without visible flaking. Benefits still achieved. Response varies by individual and peel strength. Don't judge results by amount of peeling.
