What is the BBL HERO?

Broad Band Light (BBL) HERO (High Energy Rapid Output) from Scion is world renowned for its outstanding outcomes. It’s the undisputed industry leader in Intense Pulse Light (IPL) technology.  It’s like IPL but more powerful!

The BBL HERO is very effective in treating sun and environmental damage, including pigmented spots, freckles, irregularities, small blood vessels and capillaries. It’s also used to treat rosacea and has been scientifically proven to activate increased collagen and elastin production in the skin while thickening the dermis.

Key features of BBL

• Minimal downtime with some people experiencing mild redness and swelling for 2-3 days after. Pigment will appear darker and become textured for 5-7 days before naturally flaking off.
• Minimal discomfort (topical anesthesia typically not required, but can be applied to prevent any discomfort).
• Treats pigmentation, broken capillaries, sun damage, rosacea, and post-inflammatory redness.
• Fast treatment – full face takes 15-45 minutes
• Can be used on Fitzpatrick 1-4 skin types
• 3-5 treatments are usually recommended
• Prior to treatment:
  • Sun exposure is NOT recommended 6-8 weeks prior to treatment.
  • Use of spray tans, sunless tanning lotions/tanning drops are NOT recommended for at least 10 days prior.
  • Chemical peels on the treated area are NOT recommended 4 weeks prior.
